What if we stopped the monstrous waste of water? This is an important phrase that is becoming more and more important these days.
To educate and raise awareness among young people about water waste, I have created a series of mascots in the form of monsters related to water consumption.

The Monstrodos are characters in the form of a tap, a water bottle, a hose, a shower head and a printer.
Each character corresponds to a message related to what it represents:
– The printer alias “the recycler” encourages people to print on recycled paper
– The pierced pipe “the chassalot” invites us to report a water leak so that it can be repaired quickly.
– The “robinator” and “patrodo” taps inform us that we should turn off the taps and that it is better to limit our water consumption.
– The water bottle called “the gluggler” tells us that drinking tap water is really good for the environment.
– The shower head, also known as the “dodouche”, tells us that a shower takes a maximum of 5 minutes.

An educational kit for young people

The aim of these playful and fun illustrations is certainly not to have a moralizing tone. As mentioned above, the characters are there to inform children and teenagers about water waste / to make them think about eco-actions to save water resources. Water is becoming increasingly scarce, so we must be careful not to use it unnecessarily.

The illustrations of the characters were made into a kit at the request of the French Ministry of Education. The kit is distributed in schools and consists of a leaflet, posters and stickers.

For several years, I have been working with various companies specialising in waste and water recycling and more generally in the green economy. I help these companies to communicate well through illustration and good art direction. The goal is to have an educational tone, graphically strong and off the beaten track. It’s about standing out from the crowd while keeping a strong message. The different media are also important. Use recycled materials, choose different and original formats…
