Small Change anniversary
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the small change campaign, the association needed an illustrator specialized in children illustrations to design their money box, so they reached out to me to create the money box but also all of the campaign booklets.
I had been following this association since I was 13 years old, so it was only natural that I accepted this mission, especially since it was for a noble cause: the hospitalized children. As I love to make illustrations for children and knowing who was the association behind the campaign, I couldn’t refuse and to be honest, I was really flattered they asked me to carry out this project.
I submitted two ideas, one using typographic technique and another one more “classical” that pictured children in front of a hospital and children and their parents inside a hospital, which was chosen by the campaign team. Because the theme was not a joyful one, my job was to make the piggy bank look bright, colorful and fun. I made all the characters using vector graphics
so that it was simpler to adapt the illustrations to giant piggy bank format without losing any quality.
