Illustrations for oral hygiene promotion

The practise of good oral hygiene is essential for one’s health, especially for kids who may not understand the importance of dental hygiene. Eating candies and sweet snacks too often can damage their teeth and if they don’t brush them correctly this can cause an increase of dental cavities. 

Educational messages through illustrations

The CNAM reached out to me to create a series of monsters that would represent the bad and ugly dental cavities. I was also requested to create illustrations of junk food which are associated with excess sugar and other harmful ingredients and go hand in hand with poor oral hygiene. The prevention campaign “m’t dents’ needed to convey a clear message without sounding moralising. The aim was that these illustrations would help kids and their parents really understand how important oral hygiene is, using a simple message: For stunning teeth you should brush twice a day and avoid junk food.

Oral health education and information helps to develop good habits, hence it is crucial you use educational and playful supports to do so.
